| There are some great programs you can contribute to if you want to help a Soldier |
| Send a book to a soldier. Books for Soldiers has a program to send the troops requested books, DVDs, games and relief supplies. |
| You can touch a life in need of a kind word at Let's Say Thanks. Go there and sign a card to send to a soldier. You choose your card, choose your message or type in one of your own, and an actual postcard is mailed to a soldier--signed by you, with your hometown and name on it. Its easy, its free, and its supportive. You can do this every day. |
| A Million Thanks, is an organization started by Shauna Fleming at her high school in Orange, California two years ago, with a goal of sending 2.6 million thank you letters to every person serving in the U.S. Armed Forces by Memorial Day. A great way to say thanks to our servicemen and women. |

| Here are a few places you can look to find a good support system. |
| Keep in touch. If your loved one has been deployed, here is a software application called The During the Deployment Journal - a great resource that was designed specifically for families and military service members to stay connected. You create a written journal and you can also upload pictures to share. The journal automatically saves all entries and prints a wonderful keepsake document. The software downloads very quickly and is fun and easy to use. |
| Blue Star Mothers is a nationwide group of moms who now have, or have had, children serving in the military. They are service organization there to support each other and their children while promoting patriotism. |
| Army Wife Talk Radio is a great site and radio show, the original Internet talk radio show designed specifically for army wives by army wives. Tune in and listen on your computer. |
